Here are some other things I’ve written elsewhere lately:

  • As I mentioned, there was this report for Entertainment Weekly on this year’s Kennedy Center Honors.
  • A look into the price explosion of digital art sold as NFTs for Smithsonian Magazine.com.
  • A survey of all of the TV reboots coming soon, for AARP.com.
  • A review of the National Symphony Orchestra, returning to perform a surprise program for a live audience.
  • Unveiling a new interactive sculpture that will be the centerpiece of the reopened Smithsonian’s Arts & Industries Building this fall.
  • And a report on the reopening of seven Smithsonian museums, and the National Zoo, following the COVID lockdowns.
  • Along these lines, a repurposed piece about things to see at the Air and Space Museum’s Udvar Hazy Center.
  • Reviews of a couple of programs presented in The Kennedy Center’s Young Audiences digital stage, one by Falu, and another by Maimouna Youssef
  • There were several theater reviews of COVID-era productions that came in various formats. One at GALA Hispanic Theatre was live behind glass; two at the Round House Theatre by Colman Domingo, and Lucy Alibar, were streamed one-person shows.
  • There was an internationally Zoomed Terence McNally production from MetroStage. And one from Ford’s Theatre that was audio only.
